On Thursday, the 2nd of November 2023, the 8th installment of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) Quiz Competition, focused on Legislature and Democracy, took place concurrently across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria.
This competition serves the noble purpose of providing a sustained education on matters related to the legislative branch while enriching students’ understanding of civic and democratic governance.
Representing the South South at the grand finale in Abuja on the 16th of November will be Community Secondary Commercial School, Aka Offot, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The South West zone, following a fierce battle in the zonal competition held in Lagos, saw Greater Tomorrow International College, Arigidi-Ikare Akoko, Ondo State, emerging as the victor.

North Central: School for the Gifted, Gwagwalada, Abuja.
North West: Government Pilot Secondary School, Daura, Katsina State.
North East: PenResource Academy Gombe, Gombe State.
South East: St. Theresa’s College Nsukka, Enugu, Enugu State.
